University of Iowa Printmaking Invitational

In a show entitled "Printmaking Invitational: UI Graduate Students," Iowa Artisans Gallery featured original prints by ten students in the University of Iowa's famed printmaking program, now rated number one in the country. The University of Iowa is well known for its printmaking program, with UI Professor Emeritus Mauricio Lansansky serving as the "father" of American printmaking. Lasanky's teaching influenced a generation of post-World War II printmakers who then went on to teach in universities across the country.
