VICTORIA HERRING Colorful Wall in Cartegena, Digital print on paper, 16" x 20", framed
In her own words:
I enjoy the opportunity to be creative, to further new views. My pictures tell a story of place and time. I am fascinated with architecture, patterns, line and color, contemplative vistas, and and I try to see and capture something beyond a typical photograph. Whether looking at people or places, the abstract components of color, line, pattern and uniqueness speak to me and through my photography.
Taken in natural light with a Canon digital camera and lens, the images are mounted, printed and framed archivally. I do very little manipulation, although some images lend themselves to being converted into an abstract piece of art.
Over the past few years, I have been juried into shows and have received a number of awards. At present, my work is available online at the site below, and at Artisan Gallery 218 in Valley Junction, Iowa. Victoria Herring online |
