EVE DREWELOWE (VAN EK) Gift of Eve Van Ek (Drewelowe) © Eve Drewelowe Collection, School of Art and Art History, University of Iowa Image courtesy of University of Iowa Museum of Art Eve Drewelowe (Van Ek) (1899-1988) was born in New Hampton, Iowa and earned the University of Iowa's first Master's degree in studio arts. After graduating in 1924 she moved to Boulder, Colorado. Drewelowe became a successful artist and exhibited her work in a dozen states throughout the country. When she died, her art and personal papers were left to the School of Art and Art History at the University of Iowa. These have been digitized and are available for viewing online in the Eve Drewelowe Digital Collection. |
