Favorites Week: Mixed Media All this week the Daily Palette will be celebrating some of our favorite Iowa-connected artists working in mixed media. ABIGAIL COOPER Abigail Cooper is a mixed media artist working under the name "Rooted Sparrows" to create artwork. She graduated from Grand View University in 2012 where she studied fine art and art education. She currently lives in Des Moines, Iowa and teaches middle school art. Abigail writes, "I am a mixed media artist incorporating whatever I might need for each specific piece. I explore the human psyche and spirituality through my artwork."
