Iowa Writes

A seemingly endless landscape, pristine and perfect
Land so carefully cultivated
Colored fields, row after row of intense dirt brown, mustard yellow, and verdant green
Who is responsible for all of this magnificence?
Who farms this land with pride and caring?
Who is responsible for mile after mile of captivating acreage?
The naysayers that have never experienced such a wonder
In their minds eye everything is flat and ugly not the least bit appealing
So sorry that you have been grossly misinformed
The shimmering iridescent rivers
Winding in a circtuitous fashion
Such magnificent beauty
Only someone whose eyes are firmly affixed
Can capture the spirit of Iowa
