Her prints have been exhibited nationally in group and juried exhibitions as well as internationally in Hong Kong. In 2015 she received the Focus: Artist Grant Award from Iowa State University. She also participates in collaborative projects and art festivals. Alexis's work centers around experiences in nature and how they reflect on the human psyche, including responses to personal experiences in the outdoors. She is struck by the interconnections of all life on the planet and works to understand and interpret the energy found within an ecosystem with the use of color, shape, and pattern. Alexis hopes to give the viewer a deeper sense of the wonder that can be felt in nature. |
