The Cedar Rapids Museum of Art--Living with Pots: Ceramics from the Eric Dean and Todd Thelen Collection
This week the Daily Palette is celebrating Living with Pots: Ceramics from the Eric Dean and Todd Thelen Collection, an exhibition at the Cedar Rapids Museum of Art (CRMA). This show is on view through April 10, 2016.
This exhibition celebrates the ceramics collection of two Iowa City-based collectors. With more than 2,000 objects, their collection includes pots by both national and international artists, with an emphasis on Midwestern potters.
From the CRMA website: "For those well-versed in the history of studio ceramics and those new to it, this exhibition reveals the possibilities, creativity, and playfulness of potters everywhere. One can learn much about the creative range of pottery or simply enjoy the visual pleasure pottery can bring to everyday life."
