Two Men and a Wagon

Two Men and a Wagon, acrylic, 16" x 20", 2014

Kathleen is a painter who now works primarily with acrylics.  Her paintings "focus on the beauty of Iowa," and she writes that "to be known as an artist from Iowa is a great honor."

Kathleen taught many classes at the Lowe Park Arts & Environment Center and spent many years promoting the arts in Iowa by actively serving on the Marion Arts Council, the Marion Arts Festival Board, and Hoover Presidential Library's President's Best Art Show.  She is currently active in the Iowa Watercolor Society, Creative Artists, and Iowa Artists.

Kathleen writes that she strives "to empower the creativity within my soul, to procreate in my artwork the wisdom and knowledge that I have absorbed, to achieve hand, head, and heart balance in my art, to ever learn and never stop my quest -- to be the best artist I can be and to inspire other artists that they too can follow their dreams."
