Dania De Bortoli is an enthusiastic self-taught artist who has been designing jewelry, textiles, and other artistic expressions since she was a child.  She enjoys combining vintage inspired jewelry and unique textiles with a modern twist.  Dania is inspired by designs from the Renaissance, Victorian, Art Nouveau, and Art Deco periods.  Often her work combines unusual and eclectic materials from a variety of time periods.  She refers to her style as "Vintage Fusion."  It was this unusual combination of different elements that landed her a spot on the Home & Garden Network HGTV show That's Clever in 2007.

Dania was one of the 12 artists selected to participate in the University of Iowa Museum Party in both 2014 and 2015.  Currently, her work can be seen at The Chait Galleries Downtown in Iowa City, the Cedar Rapids Museum of Art Store, and most recently, the Alley Gallery in Marion, Iowa.  Her work will also be featured in an exhibit entitled "Midwest Summer: Light and Warmth," which is on view at the Cedar Rapids Museum of Art from June 6th through September 13th.
