Art in Des Moines This week the Daily Palette is celebrating the art of Iowa's capital!
HILDE DEBRUYNE Hilde DeBruyne is a Belgian-born artist living just outside of Des Moines, Iowa. She studied art and art history in Belgium before coming to the United States. A sculptor who works in metal and clay, DeBruyne creates both small and large scale works of art. Her work is often abstract and she is known for her use of texture and curved lines. She exhibits her work throughout Iowa. Metamorphosis was inspired by the movement of butterflies.
