Amelia Blair Langford is an illustrator from Richmond, Virginia.  She received her BFA from Virginia Commonwealth University School of Arts in 2012 and has continued her artistic career as a designer for several clients across the nation.  She is known as the creator of "The Treasure Hunt," a site specific, nation-wide, illustration project that launched in 2010.  This project focuses on visually collecting natural treasures that are discovered while in residence.  Amelia has exhibited her work in shows throughout the United States, including Virginia and New York.  She was a spring 2014 Grin City Collective Artist-in-Residence in Grinnell, Iowa and she currently works for VCU School of Arts.

Throughout her work, Amelia is inspired by the unexpected beauties in nature and its constant human interactions.  Her pen, ink, and graphite studies explore surrealistic narratives and the unique connections among animal identities.  Her work is influenced by the absorption of naturally sculpted portraits then giving them a regenerated phenomenon.
