SHELLI FINCH About the artist: "I'm an artist from Marshalltown, Iowa. I started painting 10 years ago and had no idea what I was doing. I've learned a lot over those 10 years . . . and I am still learning. I've taken college classes and I've taught college classes. I'm not a sentimentalist and I'm not necessarily enamored of creating detailed art. In my art you'll see passion for color, texture, and expression. And lastly . . . in this ever evolving life of mine, there is one sure thing I do know about myself; looking at art, talking about art, creating art . . . it all makes me feel like I'm the most alive I'll ever be." Shelli tells us about Days I Didn't See Coming: "This is from a new series I'm working on called Days. The series is a reflection on the past year, 2012, and how my father's passing affected almost every aspect of my life." |
