DENICE PETERS

Denice Peters is from LeMars, Iowa. She is a full-time, self-taught pastel artist who loves the "hands on" appeal to pastels. She has exhibited regionally and nationally in group and solo shows, and has won many ribbons and awards over the years, including "Best of Show." She is a member of the prestigious Pastel Society of America, as well as the Iowa Pastel Society, the Midwest Pastel Society, and Iowa Artists.

The artist writes, "I am a pastel artist painting realistic landscapes and more.  I get right into the painting with my hands and my paintings become part of me in many ways!  I want to capture my love of the natural landscape before it disappears.  Beauty can be found all around us in the everyday landscapes we take for granted.  I hope my work brings joy and peace.  Life is too short to do otherwise."
