Ruth M. Meth graduated from Washington High School in Washington, Iowa in 1960 and received her BA in Art Education from Iowa Wesleyan College in Mt. Pleasant, Iowa in 1996.  She is a mother of a daughter and two sons and she lives with her husband, Ray, in Olds, Iowa.  During her studies at IWC she had four of her works published in Design, an international publication.  Meth has received recognition ribbons as a participant in the annual Iowa Artist Regional shows the past several years and presently has works in private collections in Germany, Spain, Japan, Kenya, Argentina, and Kyrgyzstan, as well as the United States.  Her studio, "A Room of my Own", is also located at her home in Olds.

Driftwood, shown here, received a second place ribbon in the Iowa Artist Region 12 show in 2010.
