Karlee Mannix graduated from the University of Iowa in 2006 where she studied art and received her Bachelor's Degree.

Mannix writes about her work: "For me, art is a form of therapy, release, and relaxation. I like to take the moments I am composing a piece to escape from the world temporarily.

I find the subject of trees almost every time appearing in my work, on purpose and accidental. Trees symbolize many things for me: freedom, growth, beauty, strength, memories, wisdom, life, awe of nature, and the list continues to grow."
