Chair, wood, 33" x 15" x 20"

Craig Miller chooses to work with these woods because of their unique beauty. Although in their rough state they may look anything but beautiful, they remind him of people he has met who are twisted from experiencing hardships, they are turned from their original destinations by unforeseen occurrences, they have been aged and weathered by the elements around them, but when you get underneath the surface, they have a beauty that is unique. They have fantastic stories of what caused this crack, hole or depression, so by getting rid of a little of the outer wear and tear on the outside of the wood and making it into useful things, we get to uncover the unique beauty and preserve the stories of their lives.
