Aoife grew up in Ireland and left at 18 to travel the world, but has not made it too far. Aoife has spent quite a bit of time in Spain and studied for four years at the University of Iowa and now currently lives in Washington State.

Aoife has this to say regarding the work: "I work from microphotographs that I find from various sources and I use them as a brief guide to what I want to create, which is a little trip for myself and the viewer.
