Mollie Osgood grew up in Massachusetts and New York and has lived in Grinnell, Iowa for the past nine years. She has taken art courses at Columbia University, Tufts University and The University of Iowa. She has worked as a librarian and is now a full-time artist utilizing a variety of different media.

Mollie Osgood's work is inspired mainly by the natural setting that surrounds her and the poetry of authors such as Emily Dickinson and Stanley Kunitz. Through a variety of artistic forms, including painting and collage, she explores both outdoor, indoor and psychological spaces and resonances. Artistic influences include the work of Van Gogh, Agnes Martin and Mary Cassatt.
