ERIC BRUCE
Magnetic Poetry

My poetry has a magnetic polarity
And you are drawn to it and dragged across the page from
Left to right at my
Command
Like a lyrical lodestone
Slowly filling with lightning
And
When one side of my vocabulary dipole
Flips
It
Propels
You
Away
But
You
Keep
Coming
Back
Again
Trying
Trying
Trying
To connect with what I say

Slowly filling with lightning

When one side of my vocabulary dipole
Flips

But
You
Keep
Coming
Back
Again
Trying
Trying
Trying
To connect with what I say
Half repelled and
Half redeemed by the
Realization
That although your eyes and heart thump from word to
Word without
Sticking
Part of my message may create a positive
Shifting
In the position of your measured molten
Soul
