Iowa Writes

MARY JEDLICKA HUMSTON
Carcinoma Eclipse

How could I not have seen it coming?
Felt a physical sensation? Intuition?
Why did it take a routine physical
to spot the shadowy tyrant orbit
that's now sent my whole world
                  spinning
        so        off      course?
