Iowa Writes

Strolling to the vicinity of the lake
I spot the eye-catching elegance
of the narcissus blooming.
Daintily on the edge with golden faces drooping
admiring their own liquid reflections.
The narcissus blooming,
forever trapped in everlasting vanity.
