The Cedar Rapids Museum of Art--Joanne Ribble: Artist and Advocate
This week the Daily Palette is celebrating Joanne Ribble: Artist and Advocate, an exhibition at the Cedar Rapids Museum of Art (CRMA). This show is on view through April 30, 2016.
This exhibition celebrates the work of Joanne Ribble, an important artist and supporter of the arts.
From the CRMA website: "An accomplished artist, Ribble was extremely modest about her artwork and many did not know that she had not only received extensive formal training but was also actively making work throughout her entire life, creating a formidable portfolio. On the occasion of the 85th anniversary of her birth, this exhibition celebrates a side of her life that she kept relatively private and introduces visitors to another side of this extraordinary woman."
