ARIEL MINERVINI
Regret, acrylic on canvas, 40" x 30", 2013

Ariel Minervini is an abstract painter based in Des Moines, Iowa.  She is inspired by emotion, music, and the world as she sees it.  To create her bold, vivid works of art she uses acrylic paint and a variety of tools which give her canvases a sense of depth and texture.

In her paintings and in her daily life Ariel tries not to take herself too seriously.  You might see this reflected in the titles of her paintings which, at times, project her wicked sense of humor.

"When painting I try to follow my instincts as much as possible.  I always get the best results when it comes naturally" ~ Ariel

Ariel also wants her work to evoke emotion in the viewer.  "Abstract art should make you feel something.  Whether viewing my work conjures up a distant memory, sparks an idea, even if you dislike it, I just want a reaction, and people rarely disappoint." ~ Ariel
