SARA SLEE BROWN
Sullivan Moon, digital pigment print, 18'' x 24", 2009

Sara Slee Brown received her BFA in art from the University of Michigan and her MA and MFA in Painting from the University of Iowa. Brown has exhibited extensively in the Midwest and her work is included in the Iowa Women Artists Oral History Project. She has been active in local public art projects, including Overalls All Over and Herky on Parade and is the Graphic Designer for the Iowa City Public Library.

About her work, Sara writes, "I have always been drawn to natural objects, shapes and forms. I have recently been focusing on the sensation of the objects quietly emerging from the shadows, catching the light and creating an intimate space."
