Iowa Writes

T.M. LINDSEY
Snow Globalization

While the water-encased community slumbers,
Submerged in dreams of falling stars and six-figured numbers:
The Invisible Hand's shadow slowly eclipses slivers of light,
Cusps the half-mooned globe in its sleighted palm,
And shakes, shakes well before pouring
Figmented flakes of tinseled delusions that float up—
Up towards the glass-domed ceiling.
