Iowa Writes

ALEX RYAN
l'homme

i watched you
chase horses through streetlights,
but the hyena will have the    last laugh—
a thousand tiny pills
    down the tiny
    hatch.
black satellites rotate
& synapses fire,

fire,

fire / phoenix hiding in
the sound, analog twitch.
( you may be homosexual, but
        i just like drugs )
