John Ira Thomas was born in a very tiny town in Colorado nowhere near a mountain. He holds Masters' Degrees in Greek (Texas Tech University) and Latin (University of Iowa) and his day job involves telling people where to park. He has written eight graphic novels, two art books, and a fair pile of comics."My work always starts with talking. The characters explain themselves to me, and the process begins there. Working with an artist means that I'm writing the same story alongside that person. I also do the lettering on my stories, so I really get to write it twice, once before I've seen the art, and once after. The collaboration is always exhilarating, and the result often surprises both of us."
Jeremy Smith was born and raised in the heartland, drawing pictures before speaking words. A massive stroke of luck tossed me into the Candle Light Press mix, where we have produced some of the weirdest, cooliest, and totally YOOnique graphic novels ever to walk the earth. I draw in a nice, tight, traditional style, worshipping at the temple of classic
